Flight in the Salt
The creative collaboration “Flight in The Salt” aimed to raise awareness about the Atanasovsko lake near the city of Burgas in Bulgaria. We also wanted to provoke a deeper self-reflection within our viewers concerning the relationship between man and nature. That is why the initiative takes on a multidisciplinary artsitic approach aiming to engage the public with the issue.

Residency & Exhibition
The project started with a month-long residency at "SymBiotichno" - the creative space by the Atanasovsko lake. The series of paintings I created there reflect the private realms of the lake, for which it is suitably dubbed “The Bird Paradise of Bulgaria“.
02
Illustrated edition
As a type of archive for the project, as well as another charity fundraising product, I created the illustrated limited edition "Flight in the Salt" - full of photos; sketches and some personal thoughts, the proceedings from this book were all donated to
the Bulgarian Biodiversity Foundation.

"Landless" dir. L. Georgieva
With her short film “Landless“ Lyubika Georgieva makes us face the truth of our own helplessness, reflecting in what we have caused. We are ensnared in the raw fight of nature against the looming shadow of humanity’s presence and the only faint light comes from our decision to accept responsibility.

Postcards and Prints
For our charity fundraising, we created a limited edition of postcards and prints. The watercolor illustrations of birds were a fun exercise in freehand sketching and we had some beautiful prints from the short movie "Landless".

We introduced a short and informative audio guide for the events in Sofia. We wanted people to feel immersed when they walked amongst the works by the artists, so came to be our app with an audio guide.
